Finding Aids
To find archival materials, consult the finding aids on our website: Collections Listing. From the “Collections Listing” page, you can browse the full list. (To quickly find a specific name, we suggest using the Ctrl-F search function in your browser). You can also search by using the “Finding Aid” search function in the grey box at the top of the site or at this page. (This is best if you have a particular topic in mind, such as "polio" or the "Bell Building.")
Library Catalog
Our materials also may be searched by using the Advanced Search option in the Duke University Libraries catalog. In order to find our materials, use the “Limit your search” boxes on the left side of the site. Select “Medical Center” in the “Library Location” box and “Archival and manuscript materials” from the “Resource Type” box. You may also search for other kinds of materials the Archives and Medical Center Library owns using this box, such as books and journals.
MEDSpace
MEDSpace is the Archives’ digital repository, which includes hundreds of digitized images relevant to the history of the Duke University Medical Center. Users can search for a particular individual or topic or browse by subject or collection.
